Circle of Control
It’s so easy to feel like we are out of control. Feeling this way can make us feel helpless, anxious, angry, or sad. Sometimes, the best way to get us to feel better is to focus on what we do have control over. Things like what you think, what you say, your boundaries and how you set them, what you eat, how you eat, what you do, and what you say to yourself.
Activity: If you are a visual person, maybe grab a piece of paper, draw two circles, one inside the other, and in the inside circle, write out what you actually have control over. In the outside circle put everything you have no control over. Today, try to focus only on that inner circle, the things you have any power over.
