Mammha Week 1: Third Contact Checklist

Goal: Check in 24 to 72 hours after second check-in.

  • By this check-in, you should have heard back from the therapist and ideally can share the therapist’s name and number with her. 

    • If you do share this information with her, you will check back within 24 hours to see if she reached out, whether the therapist responded to her. 

    • If she did not call the therapist, this is a gentle nudge, where you can ask her if she would like you to contact the therapist, and share her contact information with the therapist. 

    • If she already reached out to the therapist, inform mom that you will contact the therapist on her behalf. Ask mom, if it is ok to share her contact information with the therapist. 


  • If she does not want to speak to a therapist, use this check-in to ask how she is doing, or to share a support group that is scheduled for that day.


  • Send her a “good morning” text:  How are you feeling today? How did you sleep? 


  • Share a nice quote or meme you think will be meaningful to her


  • Share a link to a song on youtube that is hopeful, or that you think will bring her hope or a smile.


  • If it is Friday, remind her that self-care is important, and ask her if  there is something she can do for herself this weekend.


  • Also tell her you hope she has a beautiful weekend and if she needs to talk she can always reach out to you
