Mammha Care Coordinator Training

Welcome!

Welcome to the Mammha Care Coordinator Training. We are so honored you are here and that you will become a lifeline to women who are experiencing depression and anxiety during the perinatal period.

This training will begin with a brief overview of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). This part of the training is conducted by Mara Watts, LPH, PMH-C and it includes a powerpoint. (see link below)

We will then go over how to be a Mammha Care Coordinator, your role, protocols, how to interact, timelines, and expectations. In this section of the training, you will have your Mammha Care Coordinator Manual which is also accompanied by a power point. (see link below) Maureen Fura will be your trainer for this section.

We have included contact checklists based on expected check in intervals to help guide your interactions with positive screened moms. (see below)

We will also read and review transcripts between a care coordinator and a positive screened mom. These transcripts are a great way to see how care coordinators apply the skills they learned to support moms back to wellness.

Transcripts

Below are several transcripts between a Care Coordinator and a mom. They are good examples of how a Care Coordinator checks-in, connects, affirms, listens, advocates, and encourages moms who are experiencing depression and/or anxiety symptoms.
